Sacramental Preparation

The Latin word sacramentum means “a sign of the sacred.” The seven sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred and important for Christians. They are special occasions for experiencing God’s presence.

A Sacrament is a visible sign of God's grace, instituted by Jesus Christ, through which divine grace is imparted to our souls. The minister who performs the sacraments serves as Christ’s instrument, allowing Jesus to extend His love and healing to us.

Each Sacrament marks a significant moment in the Christian journey, where we encounter Jesus and are empowered by His grace to manifest His presence in our lives.

In Scripture, Christ provides clear guidance on the administration and reception of each Sacrament. The Church faithfully upholds these sacred rites as He instructed, enabling all to worship God and receive His gift of salvation.
